Our Story
Steve & Lyn are modern homesteaders, making and creating, our products at our modest urban homestead located in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. From preserves, to macramé, to worm castings, to cut flowers (seasonally), our product line is always evolving...kinda like us. ;)

Homemade Preserves, Jams & Jellies
Who doesn't love a good pickle? Here on the homestead, we make a variety of pickled items to choose from. Currently this list includes such items as dill pickles, bread & butter pickles, pickled garlic, and pickled garlic scapes. Due to us making these jars of pickled goodness using only fresh, seasonal ingredients, supplies are limited each year.
Our homemade jams, and jellies are made using the freshest fruit, and vegetables available at production time. During our warmer growing periods, our focus is on using Ontario, and/or locally grown products whenever we can.

Worm Castings
Worm castings are a safe, and natural way to provide your houseplants, flowers, & vegetable gardens with all the slow-release nutrition they will need to thrive and provide you with beautiful blooms, and bountiful harvests. They contain billions of beneficial microbes that not only feed your plant with all the slow-release nutrition it needs, but improves water retention & soil quality, fends off soil-borne disease, and also acts as a natural pest repellant! All our castings are produced on site by our Red Wriggler, and European Night Crawler worm farms.

Biochar
Biochar provides improved water and nutrient retention, improves plant health through naturalizing acidity and improves drainage and aeration. Every piece also provides a habitat for beneficial soil microbes. Made on site with repurposed hardwood.
